More letters for Sheldon
Here is the remainder of the letters that have been completed by students over the holiday break. Enjoy!
Here's the first, from one of my younger students, M.J.
I'm going to my Gramma's house for a few days. Then I'll come back home to
my family where we will go sledding with my friends.
My dad is taking me and my mom to China to visit his friend.
I won a speech contest and earned A's in math and science. Also, my school went to ski camp and I learned how to ski better. My school also went to Gyangju and we saw lots of historical museums and temples.
Hi Sheldon. I am Junghwan You; I live in Korea. It may be difficult for you to pronounce my name. Lots of Canadians that I know also had trouble with my name. You can call me Andy. It is my English name for the company I got into recently. Nowadays, I have learned English through Skype to help me to speak naturally with my customers. Haha. Anyway, my teacher gives information that I can send you my Christmas card. I would like to say something whether it is ordinary or extraordinary. This year has gone by so fast. I had no time to think back how to live in this year. So I want just to say how I lived! This year is not bad, not good. But I got a new job, which makes me refreshed and confident because I can now buy something for my parents and girlfriend. A sensible economy is vital for my life to be happy. I went on a trip with my awesome friends to Cebu. Cebu is an island in the Philippines. It was breathtaking like Hawaii, but I am sure Hawaii is much more impressive..! I want to go there. Even though I love going on a trip, my favourite thing is to take a rest in my home with parents. There is nothing like that. What matters in life is to love, to live happily and to have a nice supper. Parents make me do the things above. It is a very, very short story and Christmas card. Hahaha, it doesn't look like a card..!
I hope all is well with you. Everything will be okay.
Merry Christmas Sheldon
Junghwan You
And another from J,
Thanks to God,
I accomplished many things.
I graduated from university with German Education as my major and I reached level C1 in my German classes. Those are goals that were important to me this year. The greatest happiness of this year was the birth of three puppies in my neighbourhood. They're so sweet and angelic! I made a few new friends and they also major in a foreign language, just like me! We have a lot in common, so I feel that we’re going to be friends for life! This year, we decided to be a little bit smarter than previous years, so we've already spent family time in the middle of December. That allowed us to save some money to do more together in January. The end of December is mostly for families. I'm happy you have a loving family and I hope you get to spend a nice time with them on Christmas, as I will do with mine. Have a Happy and a Merry Christmas! signed, J
This is from a mature student, who has just started lessons a few months ago.
Hi Sheldon! I began studying English and I passed four exams from the academy this year. and I have had some happy things this year as well. I love to travel; I have gone to Thailand, Vietnam and Japan this year. In Thailand, I went to Bangkok and saw some palaces and they were amazing. In Vietnam, I ate many different fruits like mangoes and watermelons. They were really sweet. In Japan, I went to hot springs and I had sushi. I really love sushi, so it was a nice time. When the New Year comes, I'll go to the beach with my friends and see the first sunrise of the New Year. I'll also pray for my relatives as well as myself to have a good year. I hope you enjoy the holidays with your family. happy new year sheldon! sorry for my late homework !
